Your Review:: I have become an enthusiast of hot sauces over the years. I was relatively new to the extreme sauces when I tried Mad Dog Inferno. I way overpoured a dose onto a piece of meatloaf, and made it worse by attempting to scrape some off and put it back into the bottle. This created 2 problems. The scraping only spread it into the meatloaf like butter on toast, and I covered the neck of the bottle with sauce trying to scoop the excess back into it. The meatloaf was wildly hot and I suffered an obvious overdose eating it. I had the hicups and severe stomach ache. When I put the lid back on, I got sauce on my hand. I attempted to wash the bottle in very hot tap water and gave myself an athsma attack breathing the pepper/steam. At some point I touched my eyebrow and transfered some minute trace of the substance to my face. I attempted to wipe my face with a wet, soapy cloth and spread the pain over my whole face. I stood with my face in the cold shower for at least 15 minutes until the pain was bearable. It still burned enough that I had to sleep with a wet/ice filled towell on my face. This was my first and worst mishap with extreme sauces. Kind of like a first date.. I'll never forget it. Ohh BTW it does kind of taste like really angry A1 sauce. - G

WELL, TODAY I FINISHED MY BOTTLE OF MAD DOG INFERNO, (35 LUNCHES WITH IT) AND ENJOYED IT FOR THE MOST PART. THE HEAT LEVEL WASN'T BAD AT ALL, BUT THE ONE THING I DIDN'T CARE FOR SO MUCH WAS THE HEAVY CLOVE AND MOLASSES TASTE. IT DOESN'T BLEND TOO WELL WITH SOME TYPES OF FOODS. Definitely a unique flavor for a hot sauce. Like a great steak sauce with good heat. It has smoky flavor and it takes a couple of seconds for the heat to kick in and ummm...that slow burn! - knowtorious

Very hot and tastes like A-1 sauce with an EXTREME ATTITUDE!! Too hot for most to really enjoy but not what I would call super extreme.

If you like REAL HOT (but not mindless hot) you'll like this. If you like real hot and A-1 sauce, YOU'LL LOVE IT!! - Nick

This stuff smells exactly like A1 steak sauce, but boy, is it ever spicy. It burned in my mouth for a good 20 minutes or so. Its really good on Beans & Rice and also baked potatoes. Definitely dont order this stuff unless you like it REALLY REALLY HOT !!! - Adam

Beware the mad dog.... I got hooked on spicy foods a couple years ago, originally trying to down as many fire sauce packets from Taco Bell as I could handle. I bought this stuff from Stop and Shop in MA one day outta curiosity. I made some burritos and spread a generous helping of Mad Dog all over them... !@#%!@%@!%^@!*@... I nearly hit the friggin floor!! I grabbed a glass of milk and nearly freaked out! I never expected it!!! I loved it and i was Hooked!! I brought it into the loading dock i worked at and watched the Temporary day labor guys get in a pissing contest with the stuff making them run around in circles!!! The word 'awesome' has been so overused that it has lost it's power in general usage. This sauce is truly awesome. Just a drop or two in a chilli makes all the difference. I am currently in Washington state on a business trip from London, England and cannot find the stuff anywhere. The little spice store near Mountlake Terrace has closed, as has the store in Kirkland. I just cannot warrant going all the way over to Leavenworth to buy some cooking sauce. Daves Insanity Sauce just ain't the same. During our luncheon of "hot" dogs we tried many sauces with various chilli and pepper contents.
The bottle of Mad Dog Inferno Hot Sauce we sampled had dried out a bit so we stirred it with a screw driver to get it out of the bottle. The general concensus (after the 20 minutes of flaming lips, tounge and sinuses) was very bloody hot. This sauce was at least three times as hot as Scorned Woman Hot Sauce. By the way the chrome on our screw driver has now been eaten away. - The Homo Club

I agree with Tiller and Justin's comments - not for the weak at heart. A few drops on scrambled eggs actually caused my heart to miss a few beats within one minute; initial shock to the body / genuine health scare. The taste did remind me of A-1 sauce, perhaps too much clove. Definitely not your traditional hot sauce. Try a "few" drops with A-1 recipes. Heavenly taste if used very sparingly! - BZ

Anyone who thinks this stuff is "medium" must be from Krypton! It got great flavor but boy, is it hot!! I don't use it alone anymore but it sure is makes a great addition to chili and it also makes a kick-ass addition to barbecue sauce.

I am from the Islands and I know hot peppers. For years, I've always lables warning consumers that a product is particurlarly hot, only to find that it's "baby food," well take heed - MAD DOG INFERNO will mess you up!IT IS HOT!!! It is more of a chemical than it is pepper sauce. - Ian

Mad Dog Inferno is not for the weak at heart. If you're one of those people who say "nothing's too hot for me" than this sauce is for you. I have had many people try it and absolutely get lit up from it. - Tiller

This stuff tastes so good it's not even funny. It doesn't really taste like your typical hot sauce -- it's more like a steak sauce, but it's flavor is incredible and it's mighty hot. I put it on mashed potatoes, meatloaf, fries, burgers, etc. My mouth sizzles for a good half-hour or so after. - PT

This sauce is a staple, 3nd best tasting hot sauce ever. (first being El Yucateco Green and red, mild stuff, but what a flavor!) It makes Dave's Insanity taste like crap! Very, very strong flavor, obviously designed to be used sparingly. The flavor is good though, but definately not the usual pepper sauce flavor. The best I can do to describe it is to say that it is very thick and fairly garlicky. - Gano

First venture into ultra hot sauces. Hot as hell! Tastes like A-1. I mix it with A-1 Steak sauce for a kick on steaks and burgers. About 5 drops for 1/2 cup is unreal! - Justin
